The Dukunde Kawa cooperative, which means “those who love coffee,” was founded in 2003. It has around 2000 members, mostly small-scale farmers, each with approximately 250 to 300 coffee trees. The cooperative enabled producers to process cherries in a central facility and double their income. Musasa coffee won the Cup of Excellence between 2010 and 2018.
